What the heck is BB up to now...?

PLURTRAIN BLOG 2

Hello again!

Just wanted to post a quick update about some theatrical events I have coming up.

First is this coming Sunday, a Halloween extravaganza!

As a few of you may remember, last year I participated in my vocal coach’s bi-annual student showcase. I missed the spring edition because of a few performances PKat and I had going on at the same time, but she’s invited me back to perform this fall, not only as a singer, but also as an MC! That’s right, kids, my co host and I will be up on stage for two hours of what is sure to be improvised ridiculousness! I’m fairly certain this will be the first time in my life that I’ve ever accepted such a lengthy, non-scripted role, and while I am nervous that my foot-in-mouth disease will get the better of me, at least we know I won’t run out of things to say! (Lord knows I never do…). If you’re in the area and feel like catching some great up and coming vocal talent before an evening of trick-or-treating then feel free to stop by. Although the event is two hours long doors will be open for the entire time for people to come and go as they please. But if you want to catch my song, make sure you’re at least there for the last half hour. I’m the last act before the finale! (And from what I hear, this is one finale not to be missed…!)

Here are the details…

LOCATION: RVP Studios - 221 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven, CT
**Next to the Stop & Shop Plaza**

DATE / TIME: Sunday, October 31st, 1:00PM – 3:00PM

TICKETS: $10.00
**Purchase at the door**

Next up is my latest show, the Off Broadway hit, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”. It’s another vignette style show (a la “Forbidden Broadway”) exploring all the hilarious and not so glamorous aspects of relationships. And speaking of “Forbidden Broadway”, my former co star of said show, Mr. Ian Galligan, is actually directing this project while I resume my role as actor, singing my butt off in a variety of styles and generally making a fool of myself for your amusement. So don’t let all my hard work be in vain! Come check it out!

WHEN: November 5th, 6th, 12th & 13th at 8:00PM

WHERE: High Plains Community Center - 525 Orange Center Road, Orange, CT
**About a mile off of Rt 1**

TICKETS: $20.00
**Tickets may be purchased at the door, but it is recommended that you purchase in advance by calling the Orange Players Box Office – 203.824.1335.**

Seating is cabaret style so if you don’t plan ahead you may well find yourself split up from your group, sharing your bottle of wine with a complete stranger! (Not that meeting new friends is a bad thing…) And yes, cabaret style does mean that you can bring your own food and drink. The house opens at 7:00PM so come early, relax and enjoy your refreshment with your friends before the show starts!

That’s all I’ve got for now, but keep checking in for all the latest on Plurtrain’s activities. PKat has a few gigs on the horizon and Slant of Light updates will be coming back with a vengeance once Slanted Light really gets going. (What’s “Slanted Light” you ask? Well, I suppose you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out…*cue up that evil laugh*)
